Your baby’s first solid foods
Complementary feeding or “weaning” means introducing your baby to their first solid foods – you can start doing this when your baby is about six months old.
It’s a big step in their development and it should be fun for you all to explore new flavours and textures together.
How much your baby eats is less important to begin with than getting them used to the idea of eating. They will still be getting most of their nutrients from breast milk or first infant formula.
